Seedance 2.5 is ByteDance's flagship video model, built for long-form, reference-heavy generation. Its Omni mode takes a prompt alone, or combines it with up to 30 reference images, 10 reference videos, and 10 reference audios to render continuous single-take clips up to 30 seconds. Frame to Video works from a first and optional last frame instead. A third mode, Edit / Extend — new to 2.5 and not available on the Seedance 2.0 family — takes an existing video clip plus a prompt: the same request either edits the clip in place, keeping its original length, or extends it, up to a 30-second total. Every mode renders at 480p, 720p, or 1080p, with synchronized audio.
